Counselling for Older People in the UK
As an older person myself, I specialise in telephone counselling specifically for older adults across the UK.
My website has been designed to make it easy for older people to use, with free help sheets and a "book now" page to make an appointment.
Why People Seek Counselling in Later Life
I help with finding practical solutions to the problems that older people often experience, such as:
-
Feeling lonely, and how to reconnect with others.
-
Retirement, and how to find purpose and balance after stepping back from work.
-
Grief & Loss, and how to cope with bereavement and life transitions.
-
Anxiety & Low Mood, and how to manage worries, sleep problems, and stress more effectively.
-
Health Changes & Ageing, and how to build resilience when facing illness, caregiving, or physical change.
Talking things through can help you feel calmer, more connected, and more yourself again.
How it works
-
You don’t need a referral or diagnosis, just a wish to talk things through with someone who will listen and help you make sense of how you feel.
-
Sessions are held by phone for comfort and convenience: a calm, familiar way to talk privately.
-
I provide confidential and compassionate support with a jargon-free and practical approach.
-
Each session is focused on what matters most to you and finding a way to cope with it better.
-
By the end of the session we should have found small, meaningful steps that you can take right away.
-
One session may be sufficient. You decide how often you’d like to meet — weekly, fortnightly, or occasionally when needed. There's no pressure for a long-term commitment.
-
Each session lasts for one hour, and is priced at £50.00.
-
Free practical help can be found on this website for people from midlife to older age. You can access free help sheets at any time completely free of charge.
